Habitat Improvement

Habitat improvement projects are a big part of our mission. Decline in habitat for both macro invertebrates and fish are major indicators of issues within a watershed. Working closely with multiple agencies, such as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Fisheries Division, the CRC has been helping to improve aquatic habitat for both! Using a variety of methods, from used Christmas trees to more permanent habitat structures. These structures are just a building block in the process of improving habitat in the environment!
